ASUS Tablets: The best with Android and Windows in 2017 | Comparison

Want to know what’s up with the latest ASUS tablets? Here you’ll find a list with all their current devices running Android and Windows 10. They even have 2-in-1 convertibles with Chrome OS in their recent lineup. Let’s take a closer look at the manufacturer and its tablets.

ASUS Tablets: History and current lineup

ASUS has been in the tablet market for a long time now. You might argue that they started with their Transformer Netbooks in the early Windows 7 era. Once Google released an official version of Android optimized for tablets they started to compete with iPads directly too.

Android tablets from ASUS

Their first Android tablets were called Eee Pad and were running Android 3 Honeycomb. Later they changed to the Transformer branding. In fact, ASUS was the first manufacturer to ship an Android tablet with a keyboard dock.

Today their branding has changed. Similar to the ZenFones ASUS is calling new Android tablets ZenPads. Recent ones are the ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 and the new ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML: The later one is available with an optional keyboard, like in their early days.

Windows tablets from ASUS

All current Windows tablets run under their Transformer brand in 2017. That has been the case for a long time now. The first convertibles from ASUS were called Eee PC though. Current Windows 10 tablets are devices like the ASUS Transformer Pro T304.

Like Acer, ASUS is a Taiwanese company with their headquarter in Taipei. I’ve visited it ones in the Tamsui area and it’s quite nice. Most of their tablets seem to be produced in factories in mainland China though.
