Tablets with eSIM: Find and compare the best
While most tablets with integrated LTE 4G are shipped with a standard SIM card slot, in the future more and more will be released with an integrated eSIM. That means, you won’t have to put a SIM card into the tablet yourself. Instead, there is a eSIM chip build into the device. Your carrier can update the information and you can switch between them easily. With Windows 10, depending on the location, you might even be able to buy a prepaid or postpaid contract in the Microsoft store.
As of 2018, there are not a lot of tablets with a build in eSIM. But there are some and more will follow. I expect a lot of Windows on ARM devices to ship with an eSIM.
