Honor Pad X8 Goes Official in Europe at 199 Euros
Honor Pad X8 can now be purchased in Europe via Honor’s official website. The mid-range tablet features a 10.1-inch Full HD display and a 5100mAh battery.
After Honor launched the Magic5 Lite without much hype, they came out with the Honor Pad X8 in Asia last September. A few months after its original launch, the tablet is now available for purchase in Germany and other parts of Europe.
Pricing and Availability
For 199 euros, you can purchase the Honor Pad X8 directly from the manufacturer with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage space in the Blue Hour color variant. If you are looking for more options, Amazon offers the same tablet in a gray color variant for around 240 euros or even an LTE version at 265 euros!
Specifications
The Honor Pad X8, positioned beneath its 12-inch sibling–the Honor Pad 8 (which can be purchased for about 360 euros on Amazon)–features a 10.1-inch LCD screen with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and 224 PPI in terms of density. Its screen covers 80% of the device’s top end and is framed by prominent edges, an element that is quite common at this price point.
Under the hood, Honor has outfitted the MediaTek MT8786 with a formidable combination of dual 2.0GHz Cortex A75 and 6 1.8 GHz Cortex A55 cores for maximum performance power, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space that is expandable via MicroSD card. A 5100mAh battery backs the tablet with USB-C connectivity and 10W charging speeds.
There’s a 5-megapixel shooter in the back and a 2-megapixel shooter up front. There are also stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.1, and WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. All of this fits inside a casing that is 7.55 mm thin, weighs 460 grams, and has a curved bottom design. This device runs Android 12 with a custom layer of Magic UI 6.1, which has a multi-window interface and an e-book mode.
It would be interesting to see how successful Honor Pad X8 becomes in the European market. What’s your take on this tablet and the price point? Let us know in the comments.
