Huawei MatePad Air Launched with Snapdragon 888 SoC and 144 Hz Display
MatePad Air is another addition to Huawei’s ever expanding lineup of tablets. It features a high refresh rate of 144Hz, resulting in smoother visuals, and a large battery.

The latest and premium Huawei tablet features the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which includes the Cortex-X1, Cortex-A78, and Cortex-A55 cores and the Adreno 660 GPU. It offers storage of up to 512GB and RAM of up to 12GB, with a variant available that has 128GB storage and 8GB RAM. On the software side of things. the MatePad Air ships with HarmonyOS 3.1.
The Huawei MatePad Air has an 8,300mAh battery and supports fast 40W wired charging. It also has an LTE modem, an 8MP front camera, and a 13MP rear camera. It features four speakers and four microphones.
The Huawei MatePad Air comes with a new notes app that features self-developed brush strokes. These brush strokes are vivid and can be changed as desired. The notes now support real-time voice transcription, and users can listen, watch, and record on a single screen. Additionally, the app includes classification management and full-time data backup for efficient and secure note-taking.
The Huawei MatePad Air is a tablet that offers a PC-level experience, making light productivity tasks easier to manage. It comes with an exclusive PC-level WPS Office, which allows for easy handling of work documents.
The tablet also comes with a new split-type intelligent magnetic suction keyboard, making it easy to handle office tasks without paper. The Huawei MatePad Air is also equipped with professional academic reading software, making it possible to open CAJ files quickly and easily consult and annotate academic journals. This makes it efficient and professional for further study and research. You can easily pair the tablet with the second-generation Huawei M-pencil.
The Huawei MatePad Air is a lightweight and thin device that comes in five different colors with an innovative frosting technology design. It has a warm and stylish overall feel, weighing only 508g and having a thickness of 6.4mm.
Huawei MatePad Air Pricing and Availability
The Huawei MatePad Air is currently in pre-sale in China and will be available for purchase on May 25, 2023. The device comes with a stylus and keyboard, but these accessories must be purchased separately. The MatePad 11 comes in five color variants including Star River Blue, Wild Green, Cloud White, Feather Sand Purple, Obsidian Black.
The MatePad Air is priced at 2,899 yuan (around $412) for the 8GB+128GB model and 4,499 yuan (around $639) for the 12GB+512GB model in China. It is unclear when the MatePad Air will be available globally, but we may have more information soon.
