MWC 2023: Lenovo Unveils IdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1 with Improved Specs
Lenovo is pitching the IdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1 as a perfect device for students featuring an advanced display with stylus support, rapid charging technology, and a slim profile.
This week, Lenovo is joining the ranks of other PC and phone manufacturers at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to provide a glimpse into their developments for 2023. Improved ThinkPad laptops and enhanced ThinkCentre monitors are taking center stage in this lineup – but none more captivating than the newly unveiled IdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1.
Lenovo is taking its Windows 11 2-in-1 to the next level with an expansive 11.5-inch IPS panel that features a resolution of 2000×1200, DCI-P3 coverage, and striking 400-nits peak brightness. Additionally, this upgraded model has been equipped with Intel’s powerful N200 processor, boasting four cores and four threads for optimal performance at up to 3.7GHz boost clock speeds.
TheIdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1 can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB M.2 PCIe solid-state storage. It also offers WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and a stylus pairing option that allows you to easily draw or take notes — making it ideal for students, claims Lenovo.
Improved Cameras and Rapid Charge Support
The IdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1 has a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear option for taking high-quality pictures or quickly scanning documents that can be annotated using the optional Lenovo digital pen (not included). Taking notes or manipulating photos is simple due to the touchscreen. Keep in mind that while the keyboard is provided as standard and included within the base price, the Lenovo Digital Pen is not included in the package and requires a separate purchase.
The 2-in-1 device also sports a 3.5mm audio jack and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports. One of the Type-C ports supports power and data transfer, while the other can facilitate both power/data transactions and video output simultaneously. Lenovo touts the device to offer up to 8.5 hours of battery backup on a single and with Rapid Charge boost you can easily get 2 hours worth of battery life with only 15 minutes of charging. Its slim profile at 8.95mm makes it easy to carry.
The 2-in-1 is expected to go official in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa around June 2023, with a price tag of €449 (roughly $473). Lenovo is yet to reveal any details regarding its launch in North America.
