Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and S7 FE Get May 2023 Update
May 2023 update finally arrives for Tab S6 Lite and Tab S7 FE.

Samsung is releasing another security patch for one of its tablets. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is now being updated to the May 2023 version in Korea as per the report by SamMobile. It is expected that this update will soon become available in more markets as well.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with model number SM-P615N in Korea now has an available update. The update includes the new OS version with firmware version P615NKOS5FWD2 and enhances the security of the device. The official changelog only lists improved security as this is a routine security patch aimed at protecting Galaxy Tab S6 Lite against harmful attacks.

Samsung announced earlier this month that its smartphones and tablets will receive the May 2023 security patch that will address a total of 72 security flaws that affect both Android OS and Samsung’s own software. Out of these, six were deemed critical, while 56 were classified as high-security threats.
The May 2023 firmware update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is currently only available in Korea. However, it should become available soon in other markets as well. To find out if the update is available in your region, go to the Settings > Software update > Download and install whenever available.
Galaxy Tab S7 FE also gets the May update

The Galaxy Tab S7 Fan Edition is receiving the latest update in some markets, following the standard Galaxy Tab S7 series which received the update recently. The update is the May 2023 version.
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is receiving the May 2023 update in Brazil (SM-T735) and Europe (SM-T733) by Samsung. The SM-T736B 5G version does not appear to have access to the update yet. The firmware version for the update in Europe is T733XXS3CWD1, while in Brazil, Galaxy Tab S7 FE users can identify the update through firmware version T735XXU3CWE1.
It appears that the firmware versions indicate that the update for Europe only includes the May 2023 security patch, while the update for Brazil includes other features in addition to improved security. It is uncertain which features the update for Brazil will include, but it is possible that the Galaxy Tab S7 FE will now have access to the Image Clipper tool.
The May 2023 security patch addresses over 70 security issues found in Samsung tablets and phones, including flaws in the bootloader and Exynos modems. If you are a Galaxy Tab S7 FE user, you can get the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install whenever available.
