Android 13 Update: These Samsung Tablets Are Getting One UI 5
Samsung has started to update some of their tablets to One UI 5 and Android 13. Here‘s a list of all Galaxy Tabs that will get the update.
The release of Android 13 on non-beta Samsung Galaxy phones is no longer breaking news. This year, Google and OnePlus were the first manufacturer to roll out Android 13. But Samsung has been quicker to roll out the upgrade to a large number of its product lines, beginning with mobile phones, leaving tablet owners wondering when updates for Samsung tablets would be released.
Samsung updated several of its devices to the latest Android 13 since releasing One UI 5 for the Galaxy S22 series in late October. The Galaxy S21 family, S20 series, Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and Galaxy A53 were all included in this update. Following the release of Android 13 on its phones, Samsung has also rolled out One UI 5 to the Galaxy Tab S8 series, the top Android tablet in 2022.
As reported by SamMobile, only the 5G models of the Galaxy Tab S8 are currently receiving the stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update in all European countries. The firmware version X706BXXU2BVK4 for the Galaxy Tab S8 has been released. The Galaxy Tab S8+ will receive firmware version X806BXXU2BVK4, while the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will receive firmware version X906BXXU2BVK4.
According to a verified preliminary list of devices by Samsung, tablet users may receive Android 13 updates on Galaxy Tab S7 series, A8 and A7 Lite, as well as the Active 3 tablets between the end of the year and early 2023.
More colors, themed icons on the home screen that support third-party apps, “Privacy Detection” when sharing photos, a new Privacy and Security dashboard similar to the one Google built, a new lock screen with more customizable features, “Maintenance Mode,” which conceals user data when a device is sent in for repair, stackable wands, and other changes are among the system-level changes that Android 13 brings to Samsung devices.
