Like we mentioned earlier, the two new Fire tablets are significant upgrades over their predecessors—a 2GHz octa-core processor powers both the tablets. The Fire HD 10 gets 3GB of RAM, while the Fire HD 10 Plus gets a step ahead with 4GB of RAM. Both tablets feature a 10.1-inch full-HD 1080p display.

Both Fire HD 10 tablets boast sleek bodies with fewer bezels. Amazon claims the screen to be “10% brighter than before”.

For regular Fire HD tablet users, the new models will feel pretty similar. They come with the usual 10.1-inch HD screens and weigh around 16.5-ounce that goes hand-in-hand with vertical and landscape usage.

The HD 10 and HD 10 Plus (2021) variants are touted to offer up to 12 hours of battery life on mixed usage, including browsing, entertainment, and more. One of the best things about wireless charging docks is that it also doubles as a stand for the tablet. It gives a safe space for your tablet to rest on your work desk.

Overall, the Fire HD 10 (2021) takes heavily after its predecessor but introduces welcoming changes in the form of more RAM, bigger battery capacity, USB-C support, and fewer bezels around the screen. The latest lineup of Fire HD 10 tablets debuted on April 27, 2021. The Fire HD 10 (2021) is priced at $149.99 for the 32GB variant and $189 for the 64GB storage model. The Fire HD 10 Plus costs $179 for the 32GB storage variant and $219 for the 64GB model.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 and Fire HD 10 Plus are a good choice if you're looking for an affordable 10-inch tablet and are a fan of the Amazon ecosystem. Both are great if you love the Alexa voice assistant and like to watch Prime Video. Since the screens and battery life are good, they're great entertainment tablets in general. On a negative note, you've got to install the Google Play Store on your own.
