Google Pixel Tablet: All the Details

Google Pixel Tablet with Dock

The Pixel Tablet (review) boasts a 10.95-inch display with its 2560 x 1600 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio and 500 nits of brightness. The tablet features an antifouling coating for protection against smudges.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Google Tensor G2 processor alongside the Titan M2 coprocessor for extra security, privacy and protection of user data. The tablet packs 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, but lacks microSD card so the storage cannot be expanded further.

In the camera segment, the Pixel Tablet sports 8MP cameras on both the front and back. The tablet also features quad speakers and triple microphones. Interestingly, Google also includes a fingerprint sensor on the tablet.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1. Accessories like magnetic dock and pogo pin connection allow for easy charging and connection to accessories. A 7020 mAh battery backs the Pixel Tablet with 15W charging. The tablet comes pre-bundled with a charging dock that also doubles as a speaker.

The tablet measures 258 x 169 x 8.1mm and weighs 493 grams.

Pricing & Availability

The Google Pixel Tablet is available in three color options: Hazel, Porcelain, and Rose. Pricing starts at $499 for the 128GB model and $599 for the 256GB variant in the US. It can be purchased from Google’s official website and also from other online retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.

Pixel Tablet Alternatives

When it comes to alternatives for the Pixel Tablet, you can consider other Android tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, OnePlus Pad, and Lenovo Tab P12 Pro. If you want to get away from the Android ecosystem, then you can also consider the Apple iPad 10 at this price point.

Google Pixel Tablet with Dock
The Google Pixel Tablet is a good 2-in-1 device that combines a tablet and a smart display in one device with its Google Assistent and charging dock with great speakers. It offers a pretty design, a nice display, and a decent performance. But because it's quite expensive, I think it's a great choice if you also want a smart display only. Not if you want just a tablet alone.
