Huawei MediaPad T3 7 Specifications, Comparisons And More

The Huawei MediaPad T3 7 is the smallest and cheapest tablet of Huawei’s T3 lineup. Usually, it costs under 100 US Dollars and features lower end hardware. While the specifications are not that impressive, it does offer a mostly metal body. It is a direct competitor to the 7-inch Amazon Fire but with Google’s Android. Here is everything you should know about the Huawei MediaPad T3 7.
Highlights
- Fairly inexpensive
- Mostly metal body
- 7-inch screen
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- GPS support
Huawei MediaPad T3 7: The Basics
While the frame around the tablet is made out of plastic, it does come with a metal back. The Huawei MediaPad T3 7 is not the thinnest device at 8.6 millimeters but it is fairly light at 250 grams. We get a standard 3.5-millimeter audio jack, a micro USB port, and a micro SD card slot. Both cameras offer a resolution of 2 megapixels.
As I mentioned earlier, the specifications are lower end. The 7-inch screen is an IPS panel, but it offers a resolution of 1024 x 600 only. Inside the MediaPad T3 7 sits a MediaTek MT8127 quad-core chip with all four cores clocked at 1.3GHz. Other specs include 1GB of RAM and an 8GB internal storage. In some countries, you can get it with 2GB of RAM and a 16GB storage.
The Huawei MediaPad T3 8 and MediaPad T3 10 are both shipping with Android 7.0 Nougat. But due to the lower end specs, Huawei apparently decided to ship the 7-inch version with older Android. It is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and I don’t think it’ll ever receive a major update.

Comparisons
With a price of around 100 US Dollars, the Huawei MediaPad T3 7 is almost as cheap as you can get. If you want to spend less, you actually can get the 7-inch Amazon Fire. It offers similar hardware at a more affordable price. You can also take a look at the Lenovo Tab3 7 Essential which, again, is very similar. Only the MediaPad T3 7 offers a metal back though.
Availability & Price
The Huawei MediaPad T3 7 is available in most countries including all over Europe and Asia. Prices vary by region but usually are set at around 100 US Dollars or the equivalent in other currencies.
