Lenovo Duet 3 Chromebook: The Basics
The Lenovo Duet 3 comes in Storm Grey or Misty Blue, and the body is three-quarters metal while the remainder is plastic. It weighs almost 517g if you don’t attach the keyboard, but the build is still excellent. The Chromebook has two USB-C ports; you can charge it with either one. It’s also possible to connect to an external display.
In terms of hardware, the Duet 3 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 calibrated up to 2.55Ghz, though there’s a slightly slower version at 2.50GHz. This chipset has an integrated Adreno 618 GPU. Depending on the model, you get 4GB or 8GB of RAM. Storage is either 64GB or 128GB, and it’s not expandable via microSD cards as there are no slots for them.
Since it has a FHD+ display, you can watch YouTube and Netflix at FHD. It’s not the strongest device for serious gaming, however.
The included keyboard connects to the tablet magnetically and also functions as a kickstand.
Lenovo has mentioned that this Chromebook will receive ChromeOS updates until 2030. This ensures your device can combat the latest threats for many years to come.
Pricing & Availability
The Lenovo Duet 3 Chromebook is available for $339.99 if you get it directly from Lenovo. This model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Another version sells for $379 but only has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. However, you can get it on Amazon for $251.
Amazon UK has it priced at £223.30 as of writing time, down 36% from £349.99. This one has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The top-spec configuration costs £360.89 right now, enjoying a 10% discount from an original price of £399.99.
Lenovo Duet 3 Chromebook Alternatives
The Xiaomi Pad 5 may be an older tablet, but it’s still a decent device that can run games better than the Duet 3. The 120Hz display removes the jelly effect some 60Hz tablets suffer from. Moreover, you can enjoy better speakers, a higher resolution, potentially 256GB of storage and better cameras.
Readers with a bigger budget can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE with a 90Hz display. It has premium features like a fingerprint reader, S Pen, and IP 68 certification. You can get the Book Cover Keyboard or Book Cover Keyboard Slim depending on your preferences.
