Lenovo Tab 4 10 Specs: Here is what you should know

The Lenovo Tab 4 10 is an entry level Android tablet with decent hardware. Starting at just under 170 US Dollars Lenovo is offering us a 10-inch HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 and Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is not as powerful as the Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus but should be fine for most people who want to save some money.
Lenovo Tab 4 10 Highlights
- 10.1-inch HD display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC
- 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage
- Entry level pricing
The Basics
As mentioned at the beginning, the Lenovo Tab 4 10 is an entry level tablet. As you would expect with devices like this, the body is made completely out of plastic. That’s fine, but don’t expect to get as good of a built quality as with the Plus version or a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.
Insides runs decent hardware including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC. This is a quad core processor with all four cores clocked at 1.4GHz. Together with the 2GB of RAM, the performance should be fine for most things. That included browsing the web, watching Netflix and doing some office work. It won’t powerful enough for serious gamers though.
While the hardware should be fine for most, the display might not be. It’s a 10.1-inch IPS screen with an HD resolution of 1280 x 800. Most of us are used to smartphones with very high pixel densities, even if your phone is a cheaper one. Compared to that, text and icons might not look as sharp. Other qualities of the screen seem to be good though.
On the Lenovo Tab 4 10 runs fairly recent Android 7.1.1 Nougat. In fact, this is very recent and great. Lenovo didn’t customize the interface too much. But, there are a couple of useful extra features like a productivity mode. It’s unclear if the tablet will ever receive a major update though. As of now, the Tab 3 series from last year didn’t get any.

Another direct competitor is the ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML. Both have very similar features. In case you’re looking for something smaller, you should look at the Lenovo Tab 4 8.
