Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 2019: The Basics
Positioned in the budget segment, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 2019 will reportedly be available in two variants having model numbers SM-T290 and SM-T295, with the latter model supporting 4G LTE. Over 4G, the tablet is said to support download speed of up to 150Mbps. Besides this, you will also find support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, as per the leaked information, while the headphone jack will also be retained.
Being a budget device, the tablet will settle for an entry-level quad-core Snapdragon 429 chipset that will run at 2GHz clock speed. It will be paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which will also support expansion via a microSD card in the typical Samsung fashion. This memory configuration could only be meant for some European markets but there is no official confirmation yet. A large portion of the Galaxy Tab A 8’s back will be made out of metal while it will come running Android Pie-based One UI.
A total of two color options have been revealed in the photos accompanying the leak—carbon black and silver gray. The tablet is said to measure 8mm in thickness and weigh about 347 grams while carrying a battery of 5100mAh. Along with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a basic 2MP camera will be placed on its front, right above its 8-inch LCD display. The said screen will likely be in 16:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and will be surrounded by bezels that cannot be called slim by any means.
