Teclast M30 Pro: The Basics

Your average everyday tablet, the Teclast M30 Pro, comes with a 10-inch display on the front with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, giving it a slightly taller 16:10 aspect ratio. The bezels on the tablet are white and are pretty thin but still manage to offer enough grip. Giving the tablet a premium in-hand feel, Teclast has used a full metal body, except for the antennae’s cutout. If you look at the device from the side, it looks really thin. Plus, the company has also included a distance sensor to see how far you are from the tablet, which could be used for different purposes.

The M30 Pro packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 along with a Mali G72 chip. It’s a mid-tier chip and should be good enough for basic use. It is available only in one memory configuration, in which you get 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. You have the option to expand it using a microSD card. The slate comes running Android 10 out of the box, bringing a host of features from the OS, though this isn’t the latest Android version. A pair of speakers are included on the tablet, though both outlets are on the same side.

What keeps all this running is a 7500mAh cell that is said to offer a life of up to 10 hours. In terms of camera, you’re getting an 8MP sensor on the back and a 5MP one on the front for video calls. If you prefer staying connected on the go, Teclast has also offered cellular connectivity, which means you can pop in a 4G-enabled SIM both for mobile data and calling. In addition to the USB-C port, there’s also a DC charging port for situations when you want to charge the tablet while it’s hooked to an external storage device.

Pricing & Availability

The Teclast M30 Pro is already up for grabs from all retail channels Teclast sells its products from. It’s listed on Amazon.com in the US, but it appears to be out of stock right now. You can alternatively go for AliExpress, where it’s readily available for $189, and the website usually ships across the globe. Plus, there’s free shipping, too, at least to the US.

Teclast M30 Pro Alternatives

Teclast’s own T30 Pro offers significantly better specifications at a slightly higher price. However, we haven’t reviewed the tablet yet to vouch for how good it is. If you want to go for a more mainstream option and are ready to spend a little extra, then the Apple iPad 8 (review) appears to be the best option. Samsung too recently came out with its budget Galaxy A7 (review) tablet, which turned out to be a great buy for its price in our review.

In a slightly tighter budget, the Tab M10 HD (2nd gen) from Lenovo could also be a decent option as it packs a lot for its price. While the Amazon Fire HD 10 (review) from last year continues to be a fantastic tablet for its low price and its value over other tablets. If you are one of those people who prefer portability over any other factor, then the compact 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) looks to be a great device for its price.
