Blackview MEGA 1: The Basics

The Blackview MEGA 1 comes in three colors: Space Grey, Sky Blue, and Dreamy Purple (a rare tablet color). It has an 11.5-inch HD+ IPS 120Hz screen that can reach 400 nits of brightness, making it perfect for games and streaming content. Hardware-wise, the tablet has a MediaTek Helio G99. You can get the tablet with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, though the only storage capacity is 256GB without accounting for a microSD card.

Standard features include a USB-C port for charging, SIM slots for cellular data or a microSD card. The tablet also has a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition for quick access.

A glance at the Blackview MEGA 1’s features shows that it’s catered to users who want productivity while also being able to enjoy some games and streaming. The included workspace app, split-screen preset combos, live caption capabilities and Google Lens functionality benefit remote workers and business users.

Blackview seems to have ramped up its focus on speed as well. Virtual RAM is known to improve app startup speeds, and its new “Atomized Memory 2.0” feature claims to free up more RAM, while the pre-loading feature from some of its newer tablets is present.

Blackview MEGA 1 Alternatives

The Xiaomi Pad 6 matches or surpasses the Blackview MEGA 1 tablet in many ways, boasting a better screen, fast charging, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and comes with Android 13 plus upgrades. However, this tablet doesn’t have a microSD slot, which is a dealbreaker if you like using them.
