Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 Launched Silently & We Know Why

The new tablet by Samsung offers nothing new except an upgraded processor that currently stays unnamed.

Samsung has recently unveiled the latest iteration of its popular Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet, which is listed on the company’s Romania website. Samsung launched the new 2024 model quietly, without much fanfare because there doesn’t seem to be anything particularly new about it, apart from the upgraded processor.

The design, features, and other specifications are the same as the previous model. As a result, it’s unclear why any existing Tab S6 Lite 20222 user would want to upgrade to this new model. They might prefer to upgrade to a tablet with a different design, a slimmer one, or one with better cameras or a better screen. Perhaps, Tab S9 FE or even Tab A9+.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) features a 10.6-inch screen with thick bezels with WUXGA resolution which is also compatible with an S-Pen. The device boasts a sleek design, with a single 8MP camera sensor on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. Additionally, it is equipped with dual speakers tuned by AKG and supports Dolby Atmos.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) comes powered by an unnamed octa-core processor, featuring 2.4GHz and 2GHz cores. According to reports, it is most likely the Exynos 1280. The tablet is available in two onboard storage variants, 64GB and 128GB, both of which are coupled with 4GB RAM. Additionally, you can expand the storage further using a microSD card.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is also equipped with a massive 7,040mAh battery unit that Samsung touts to deliver up to 14 hours of battery life. The device runs on the latest OneUI 6.1, based on Android 14 OS, out of the box, with a host of Samsung apps such as Samsung DeX and Knox.

The latest tablet is available in both WiFi and LTE versions. The colour options for the tablet include Oxford Grey, Mint, and Chiffon Pink. Unfortunately, Samsung has not yet revealed any information regarding the pricing and availability of the tablet. We will be updating this article as soon as Samsung reveals the pricing.
