Lenovo Tab M10 HD: The Basics
The Lenovo Tab M10 HD has a full plastic body and you can get it in Slate Black and Polar White. It’s 8.5mm thin and weighs 480g. On the top, there are two stereo speakers that are angled towards the front. We also get a micro USB port, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a power button, and volume controls. On the bottom, there’s a PIN connector for an optional speaker dock.
Its two cameras have a resolution of 5 and 2 megapixels. The latter one is the front-facing camera and you can use it to unlock the tablet using facial recognition. Because there is no additional sensor, it might not be very secure.
Lenovo’s display has an aspect ratio of 16:10. It is an IPS panel with a simple HD resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 quad-core processor with four 2GHz cores. Additionally, we get 2GB of RAM and a 32GB internal storage. Its supported microSD cards can be up to 256GB in size.
Further, the Tab M10 HD supports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. According to themselves, the battery will last up to 8 hours when watching an HD video.
The Lenovo Tab M10 HD is shipping with Android 9.0 Pie. Since Lenovo is not using a heavy interface, it’s pretty much vanilla Google Android. There are some minor customizations only. For instance, parents can activate a kids mode for their children. And you can set up separate accounts for other members of your family. We also get a Dolby app, cloud services, and the apps from Google are pre-installed as well.

Pricing & Availability
The Lenovo Tab M10 HD appeared on Lenovo’s websites in mid-July of 2019 without any press release or other kinds of announcements. In the US, prices start at 179 US Dollars. While it will be available in most countries, we don’t know the prices for Asia or Europe yet.
Lenovo Tab M10 HD Alternatives
The most interesting alternative to the Lenovo Tab M10 HD is the normal Lenovo Tab M10 (review). With that one, you get a higher resolution screen, a faster processor, and USB C. Because it has gotten an update to Android 9 already, the software is the same.
You should check out the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019 (review) as well. While its One UI is not as pure as almost vanilla Android, it offers a 10-inch full HD screen, a better performance, and, again, USB C.
A much cheaper alternative is the Lenovo Tab E10 (review). You’ll pay much lesser but you’ll have to live with Android 8 and much slower internal hardware. I can recommend it if you don’t have high expectations or want to spend as little money as possible only.
