NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet: The Overview
The NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet is a rebadged Lenovo Tab M9, with the exact same specs. Thus, it’s a budget-friendly tablet with entry-level specs, such as a 9-inch 1340 x 800 LCD screen (with TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification) and an 8-core MediaTek Helio G80 CPU. RAM and storage are 4GB and 64GB respectively, with the latter expandable to a maximum of 128GB via the included microSD slot. A 5100mAh battery provides the power to keep this hardware running. While we’ve not tested the NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet, the identical Tab M9 lasted 9 hours in our standardized battery life test.
Like the original Lenovo-branded device, the NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet has three reading modes you can enable. There’s a Greyscale mode for ebooks, a Chromatic mode for color content, and an Immersive mode that plays ambient sounds through its Dolby Atmos-certified dual-speaker setup. However, unlike the Lenovo original, the NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet comes pre-loaded with the NOOK app, so you can start purchasing and reading ebooks and digital comics immediately.
The NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet ships with Android 12. While the Lenovo-branded Tab M9 has received an Android 13 update and will continue to receive security updates until 2026, we’re unsure whether the NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet will receive the same support.

NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet Alternatives
If you like the look of the NOOK 9″ Lenovo Tablet but live outside the US, you can opt for the Lenovo Tab M9 instead. It’s exactly the same tablet, just without the NOOK branding and software. Other similarly priced alternatives include the Amazon Fire HD 10 2023, which is slightly larger but has a similar MSRP. However, the Amazon tablet doesn’t have the Google Play Store by default—although that’s easy to rectify yourself.
