Lenovo Launches Legion Y700 (2023) Gaming Tablet with 144Hz Display
Lenovo has launched its second-generation Android gaming tablet in two colors and three RAM and storage variants.
Lenovo has announced the latest addition to its gaming tablet range, the Legion Y700 (2023), at the BW Expo. Lenovo emphasized the upgrades for the “new Y700” compared to its 2022 version. With top-of-the-line features, the Legion Y700 (2023) starts at 2399 yuan ($333), making it a competitive option in the gaming tablet market.
Legion Y700 (2023) is a gaming tablet that has an 8.8-inch PureSight display. It has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, 343 PPI pixel density, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The tablet has a boosted refresh rate of 144Hz.
Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023) has a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and LPDDR5X memory, which results in an impressive AnTuTu benchmark score of 1.39 million points. You can choose between 12GB and 16GB RAM and 256GB and 512GB inbuilt storage options. The gaming tablet runs with Android 13 out of the box and ZUi 15.0 on top. Additionally, it has a 13MP dual rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies.
Lenovo fans can rest assured that the Legion Y700 retains the same USB type-C system as its predecessor. It supports a dual USB type-C system, just like the Legion Y90 before it. The dual USB Type-C ports can be used simultaneously for charging and using headphones. It also has a bypass charging system that protects the battery and improves performance. However, it can only charge at a maximum of 45W for its 6,550mAh battery.
To prevent overheating during long gaming sessions, Lenovo has upgraded the cooling system and added a metal back cover to the Legion Y700 (2023) tablet. Despite having many features, it is lighter than the older model, weighing only 348g and measuring 7.6mm thick. The tablet has an all-metal body with a textured middle frame that gives gamers a comfortable grip during extended play.
Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023) Pricing and Availability
The Legion Y700 (2023) tablet by Lenovo is available in Grey and Blue colors. Despite having new features, Lenovo has kept the price competitive. Customers can avail of a discount of 100 yuan ($13) on all three variants in the pre-sale period. The three variants come with different RAM and storage options: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for 2399 yuan ($333), 12GB RAM + 512GB storage for 2599 yuan ($361), and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage for 2799 yuan ($389).
We would like to see Lenovo release this gaming tablet to the global market so that Legion fans worldwide can have access to it, not just those in China.
