Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra Designs & Specs Leak Ahead of Launch
Expected to come with eSIM capabilities and more.

Right before the launch of Samsung’s flagship tablet at the next Galaxy Unpacked on July 26, leaked specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G have surfaced online. According to the leak, the highest model in the Galaxy Tab S9 series will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is Qualcomm’s current-generation flagship chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of inbuilt storage. Additionally, it is expected to have a 14.6-inch display and includes a 13-megapixel primary rear camera as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
The tipster has shared four images of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These images show the display with a notch that is believed to house the dual front-facing cameras. The tablet also appears to feature two rear cameras, as well as a keyboard and a stylus. This design has been leaked before, and the latest leak seems to confirm the previous ones.

On Thursday, Evan Blass (@evleaks), a tipster, leaked the specifications of the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G. As per the details shared by Blass, the tablet will have a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display and it will run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 12GB of RAM. Although the leak does not mention it, there is a possibility that the device might have a 3.36GHz overclocked version of the chip. The 3.36GHz SD8G2 chip is already present in the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones that were released earlier this year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G will have a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera for photos and videos. Additionally, there will be a dual front-facing camera with two 12-megapixel cameras on the tablet. According to Blass, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G will come with an 11,200mAh battery and is expected to have 512GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded. Blass also mentions that the device will run on Android 13 from the outset.

Expected to support eSIM
The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G variant may feature both a physical SIM and eSIM, which would make it Samsung’s first tablet to offer eSIM. With an embedded eSIM, users can enjoy a more convenient experience without having to deal with physical SIM cards. The eSIM chip is always present in the device, and you can program it to work with your preferred carrier’s eSIM plans. It won’t be the first time when a tablet gets eSIM though as Apple has been manufacturing tablets with eSIM capabilities for quite some time now. Some of their devices, such as the iPad Pro 11 (4th gen) and iPad Pro 12.9 (5th gen), are eSIM enabled. Other examples include the 10th gen iPad and 5th gen iPad Air.

Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G at the Galaxy Unpacked event happening next week. Along with it, the company will also unveil the new Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 phones, the Galaxy Watch 6 series, and the Galaxy Buds 3 truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones. Samsung has already started to hint at the features of these upcoming devices, including the design and features.
