Samsung Silently Lists Galaxy Tab A9 & Tab A9+ on Amazon UAE
Did Samsung pull a silent launch on Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ tablets?
After causing a stir in the Android tablet with the mid-range tablets, Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+, Samsung is ready to officially launch with two new budget tablets Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+. These upcoming devices have been the subject of several leaks and certifications, but now the official listings of the tablets on Amazon UAE and Samsung’s Guatemala website reveal new details about their features and specifications.
Recently, both these tablets were spotted on the Google Play Console. This listing provided a sneak peek into the specifications of these devices before their official launch. Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ are now listed on Amazon’s UAE website by Samsung, revealing their pricing and specifications. Ahead of the UAE listing, both the tablets were also spotted on the official Samsung Guatemala website.
As per the details on Amazon UAE, pricing details for these tablets have been revealed. Both the tablets will be available in three sleek colors: Graphite, Silver, and Navy
For the Galaxy Tab A9, which comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the LTE variant will be available at AED 699, (approximately USD 190), while the Wi-Fi variant will come in at AED 549 (roughly USD 150). It is important to note that these prices pertain to the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab A9+ offers a 5G variant priced at AED 999 (roughly USD 271) while the Wi-Fi model is available for AED 849 (approximately USD 231). Again, these prices apply to the base configuration featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, Tab A9+ Specifications
In addition to specifications and pricing, the listing also reveals renders of the tablet. The Galaxy Tab A9 will have a single rear-facing camera, while the Tab A9+ will have a dual-camera setup. In terms of specs, the Galaxy Tab A9 will feature an 8.7-inch display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the A9+ will have an 11-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
In terms of size, the Galaxy Tab A9+ will have dimensions of 25.71 x 16.87 x 0.69 cm and weigh 491 grams, while the Galaxy Tab A9 will weigh 333 grams and measure 21.09 x 12.47 x 0.8 cm. According to a previous leak, the Galaxy Tab A9 will be equipped with the Helio G99 SoC, whereas the Galaxy Tab A9+ is expected to feature a Snapdragon 695 chipset.
Both the Samsung tablets are set to launch with Android 13 and One UI 5.1 skin pre-installed. The tablets will be available in two different RAM and storage configurations, with the base model offering 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and the top-end model featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab A9 will come with dual speakers, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ will boast quad speakers, all with Dolby Atmos support.
By all means, this looks like a silent launch by Samsung. It also sets the ball rolling for the official launch of these budget tablets in other markets. We will keep you updated as Samsung gets closer to making an official statement.
