Surface Go 4: Overview
The Microsoft Surface Go 4 retains its predecessor’s design, including compatibility with existing accessories.
Performance-wise, it surpasses its predecessors with its Intel N200 processor and 8GB RAM as standard, with a 10.5-inch display putting out 1920×1280 pixels. It has the same dimensions as previous Surface Go tablets and just above one pound (around 500 grams).
Designed primarily for office applications, you can browse the web, create presentations and get on a video call. Gaming is possible but limited to less demanding titles.
Microsoft advertises 12.5 hours of battery life. Our YouTube battery life test, however, depleted the battery in five hours.
The Surface Go 4 is compatible with all keyboard covers and Surface Pens that were compatible with its predecessors.
Price and Availability
The Surface Go 4 can be bought in the US for US$579.99 to US$779.99 and in the UK for £529.00 to £729.00. Note that Microsoft sells accessories separately.
Surface Go 4 Alternatives
There’s not much competition for a 10-inch Windows tablet because no major manufacturer makes a 10-inch, Windows, tablet. The only viable alternative is the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i and previous Surface Go models like the Surface Go 3.
However, if you are open to other operating systems here are the best 11-inch tablets.
