Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2: The Basics
Lenovo’s Tab P11 Gen 2 sports an 11.5-inch IPS LCD screen that runs at a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. The display runs at up to 120Hz for smooth animations and has Widevine L1 certification for HD content playback. Lenovo powers this display with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 CPU, which you can get with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
The 4GB version comes with either 64GB or 128GB of storage, while the 6GB version is only available with 128GB of storage. Lenovo opted for a 7700mAh battery in the Tab P11 Gen 2; in our testing, this kept the tablet running for 6 hours at maximum brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Tab P11 Gen 2 runs Android 12L out of the box, which is a tablet-optimized version of Android 12. Lenovo’s Android installation is almost “pure,” with the only major additions being a productivity mode and extra features for the optional Lenovo Precision Pen 3.
The company promises updates through to Android 14, which is nice to see for a mid-range tablet. However, we’re uncertain whether we’ll see tablet-focused “L” versions of Android 13 and 14, so you may end up running standard versions of Android 13 and 14.
Lenovo sells WiFi and 4G LTE versions of the Tab P11 Gen 2. Both versions are identical beyond the connectivity; they have the same MediaTek CPU and have the same storage and RAM options.
Heavy-duty typists will appreciate that Lenovo sells a proper keyboard cover for the Tab P11 Gen 2. The two-part cover consists of a protective plastic cover with a kickstand, plus a trackpad-equipped keyboard that attaches automatically.

Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 is readily available in most markets. It’s available in the US (via Amazon) for less than $250, which is a much lower price than at launch. The Tab P11 Gen 2’s pricing is also great in Europe, with the tablet selling for around €300 on Amazon DE. Discounts can often bring the prices down further, so keep an eye out for those if you’re interested in the Lenovo.
Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 Alternatives
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 sells for a similar price to the Lenovo in the US, but it has a significantly smaller display and lacks an official keyboard accessory. However, it has much better stylus support thanks to Samsung’s S Pen and excellent software, so it might be worth considering if you plan to use a stylus regularly. You can also consider the 12.7-inch Lenovo Tab P12. This tablet can sometimes be had for less than $300 on Amazon, making it a great alternative for content consumption.
