We compare all the key specifications including display, performance, cameras, battery, and more to clearly mark the differences between the two tablets. Without further ado, let’s begin the Lenovo Tab P11 (2nd Gen) vs Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) comparison.
Design and Display
The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 features an 11.5-inch display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, which is quite impressive for a tablet in this price range. The display provides stable viewing angles and vibrant colors. In terms of design, the Tab P11 Gen 2 sports a solid build quality with a 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroSD card slot, and a USB-C 2.0 port. It also comes with a keyboard cover that offers good protection and a decent typing experience.

Performance Benchmarks and Hardware Comparison
Let’s take a look at how well the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 and Tab P11 Gen 2 perform by analyzing benchmark data (Geekbench). This will help us gain valuable insights into the tablets’ processing power and overall performance.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 gets fantastic results in my review. It offers a great 10.2-inch OLED screen, powerful hardware, lots of storage, as well as a solid pen and good keyboard cover. I also like its long battery life, its loud speakers, and the productivity mode with external screen support. However, while it's supposed to get two major updates, it probably won't be updated as long as the flagships from Samsung and Apple.
Tablet | Single-Core CPU | Multi-Core CPU | Compute |
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 | 839 | 2752 | 4685 |
Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 | 543 | 1765 | 1451 |
The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 has impressive processing capabilities as evidenced by its single-core CPU score of 839 and multi-core CPU score of 2752. These scores indicate that the tablet can smoothly multitask, efficiently execute apps, and navigate its interface with ease. The Pro model’s compute score of 4685 demonstrates its ability to handle complex computational tasks, making it ideal for resource-intensive applications and demanding workloads.

Compared to the Pro model, the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 has slightly lower single-core and multi-core CPU scores of 543 and 1765, respectively. However, these scores still show that the tablet can perform well for everyday activities like browsing the internet, watching media, and doing basic multitasking. The compute score of 1451 means that the Tab P11 Gen 2 may not be as good at handling complex tasks as the Pro model.
The benchmark data clearly shows that the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 has better raw processing power than the Tab P11 Gen 2. The Pro model has higher scores, which means its CPU performance is stronger, resulting in smoother multitasking, faster app execution, and improved responsiveness overall.
When considering the hardware specifications, it’s worth noting that the Pro model is equipped with the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T octa-core processor, while the Tab P11 Gen 2 features the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The higher-end MediaTek Kompanio 1300T on the Pro model contributes to its superior performance, as reflected in the benchmark scores.
While the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 may not offer the same level of performance as the Pro model, it still provides satisfactory processing power for typical day-to-day usage. Users engaging in less demanding tasks or seeking a more budget-friendly option will find the Tab P11 Gen 2 to be a suitable choice.
Ultimately, the choice between the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 and Tab P11 Gen 2 depends on your specific needs and performance expectations. If you require a tablet with powerful processing capabilities to handle intensive tasks and demanding applications, the Pro model is the recommended choice. However, if your usage mainly revolves around casual browsing, media consumption, and light multitasking, the Tab P11 Gen 2 offers a reliable and more budget-friendly option.

Graphics and Gaming Performance
When comparing the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 and Tab P11 Gen 2, it’s important to consider both CPU performance and graphics/gaming performance. We can evaluate their capabilities in this area by looking at benchmark scores for tests such as Wild Life and Wild Life Extreme.
Tablet | Wild Life | Wild Life Extreme |
Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 | 1232 | 344 |
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 | 4286 | 1249 |
The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 has scored 4286 and 1249 in Wild Life and Wild Life Extreme tests, respectively. During our Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 gaming test, we found that Apex Legends performed well when the graphics were set to ExtremeHD. However, it was not as visually impressive as on the S8 and had a slightly lower frame rate. Additionally, PUBG Mobile doesn’t allow you to select UltraHD graphics on the device, which is possible on the cheaper iPad 9. Nevertheless, the game ran smoothly with HDR settings.
On the other hand, the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 achieves a Wild Life score of 1232 and a Wild Life Extreme score of 344. While these scores are lower than those of the Pro model, they still indicate competent graphics performance for casual gaming, video playback, and everyday multimedia usage. The scores suggest that the Tab P11 Gen 2 can handle graphics-intensive tasks, although it may not provide the same level of smoothness and graphical fidelity as the Pro model.
The Lenovo P11 Gen 2 did not score high in our gaming test. If you set graphics to HD, PUBG Mobile runs smoothly, but the graphics may appear a bit pixelated; however, the colors are well-rendered. Sadly, you cannot select higher graphics settings. For Asphalt 9 and Apex Legend, both games run well, but only if the graphics settings are not set too high. In summary, the P11 can handle almost every game but do not expect it to deliver a high-quality gaming experience as it needs a better chipset for that.
The benchmark data clearly shows that the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 performs better in terms of graphics and gaming performance. The Pro model’s higher scores in both the Wild Life and Wild Life Extreme tests indicate superior graphics processing capabilities and a more immersive gaming experience.

It’s important to note that the Pro model has the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, while the Tab P11 Gen 2 has the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, when examining hardware specifications. The Pro model’s superior GPU is responsible for its improved graphics performance, as indicated by the benchmark scores.
For those who love gaming or creating content and prioritize excellent graphics performance, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is highly recommended. It has a better GPU and higher benchmark scores, resulting in a more impressive multimedia and gaming experience. On the other hand, if you only need satisfactory graphics performance for casual gaming or everyday use, the Tab P11 Gen 2 is an affordable option.
Software and Cameras
Both Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 and P11 Pro Gen 2 run Android 12L OS — a tablet-optimized version of Android. One of the primary features of Android 12L is the taskbar placed at the bottom. Lenovo guarantees software updates for the tablet until Android 14.
Both tablets come with rear and front-facing cameras, but the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 offers a slightly better camera setup. The Tab P11 Gen 2 features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

In comparison, the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 sports a more advanced 13MP+5MP dual-camera system on the back. It includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. It has a dual-camera setup on the front as well, featuring 8MP + 8MP dual lenses. Overall, the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 offers a more versatile camera setup, allowing users to capture a wider range of shots.
When it comes to multimedia capabilities, both tablets offer an immersive audio experience. The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 incorporates dual speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology, delivering clear and immersive sound. Similarly, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 takes audio to the next level with its quad speakers tuned by JBL, providing rich and dynamic audio output.
Battery and Connectivity
Another important aspect to consider when comparing the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 and Tab P11 Gen 2 is their battery life. Let’s analyze the battery performance based on the battery results we got during our review. For our battery test, we stream Full HD YouTube videos on maximum brightness.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 offers an impressive battery life of up to 10.5 hours. This extended battery performance ensures that you can use the tablet throughout the day without worrying about running out of power. Whether you’re engaged in productivity tasks, media consumption, or gaming, the Pro model can keep up with your needs.
Compared to the Pro model, the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 has a slightly shorter battery life of about 6 hours due to its higher refresh rate display that consumes more power. Although a 6-hour battery life is still decent, it may need more regular charging if you use the device continuously or for demanding tasks.

It’s evident from the data that the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 performs better than the Tab P11 Gen 2 in terms of battery life, offering an extended usage time on a single charge. This makes the Pro model an ideal choice for users who prioritize long-lasting battery performance. However, it’s important to note that battery life can vary depending on various factors such as screen brightness, usage patterns, and running applications. The actual battery performance may differ based on individual usage scenarios.
When considering connectivity options, both tablets offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, allowing for seamless wireless communication with other devices and networks. Additionally, they feature USB Type-C ports for fast data transfer and charging capabilities, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of accessories and peripherals.
In conclusion, if battery life is a critical factor for you, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is the recommended choice, offering an extended battery performance that can last throughout the day. However, if you prioritize the 120Hz display of the Tab P11 Gen 2 and can accommodate slightly shorter battery life, it still provides a satisfactory usage experience for most everyday tasks. Assess your specific needs and usage patterns to determine which tablet aligns best with your requirements.
Pricing
The Tab P11 Gen 2 is priced as the more economical option, with the base configuration starting at approximately $259, offering 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The higher-end version with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage costs around $349 (as listed on Lenovo’s official website)
Meanwhile, the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is a more expensive and high-end option. Its base model costs approximately $429 and features 6GB RAM and128GB storage. The most advanced version has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and is priced around $699.
Conclusion
Both the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 and Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 offer decent features and specifications for their respective price ranges. The Tab P11 Gen 2 is a solid choice for users on a budget who are looking for a reliable tablet for everyday tasks and light entertainment. It offers a good display, satisfactory performance, and a versatile camera setup at an affordable price.
On the other hand, the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is aimed at users who want a more premium experience. It provides a better display with OLED technology, a more powerful processor, a more advanced camera system, and additional features like stylus support. If you have a higher budget and value these premium features, the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 would be the better choice.
Ultimately, the choice between the two tablets depends on your personal preferences. Consider your budget, usage requirements, and priorities when making a decision between Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 vs Tab P11 Pro Gen 2.
