Lenovo Tab P12: The Basics
The Lenovo Pad 12 is an entertainment tablet through and through, with its 12.7-inch, 2944 x 1840 IPS LCD screen. It may only have a 60Hz refresh rate, but its sheer size and above-average sharpness make it a great tablet for all sorts of entertainment and daily tablet tasks. It’s not the most high-performance tablet out there, but its Mediatek Dimensity 7050 CPU is still capable enough for its intended use cases. You can opt for 4GB or 8GB of RAM; the former is available only with 128GB of storage, while you can opt for 128GB or 256GB of storage if you opt for 8GB of RAM. The battery is an expectedly large 10200-mAh unit, although its huge display meant it only lasted 5.5 hours in our battery life test.
Unlike many mid-range tablets, Lenovo has a built-in scanner on the power button, which is a nice feature to have. Other welcome features are a microSDXC card slot, Wi-Fi 6, and QuickCharge 4.0 support to keep that huge battery topped up. The Tab P12 ships with Android 13, with updates through to Android 15.
The Lenovo Tab P12 supports Lenovo’s Tab Pen Plus and a keyboard cover. The former is included with the Tab P12, while the latter is an optional extra. The keyboard is one of the most comfortable tablet keyboards we tested, thanks to the tablet’s huge 12.7-inch dimensions. It’s almost equal to a laptop keyboard, including the large trackpad.

Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo Tab P12 is readily available in most territories, so you shouldn’t have trouble getting your hands on one. You can get one on Amazon in the US for around $350, including a Tab Pen Plus. Europeans can get one from Amazon DE for around €390, also with a Tab Pen Plus included.
Lenovo Tab P12 Alternatives
The Honor Pad 8 is another large Android entertainment tablet, although it “only” has a 12.0-inch screen as opposed to the Tab P12’s 12.7-incher. The smaller screen makes the Pad 8 a more affordable alternative, however, provided it’s available in your region. Conversely, if you have a bigger budget and want a higher-end 12-inch tablet, you’ll want to check out Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 FE+.
