Lenovo Tab P12 Launched With 3K Display, 10,200 mAh Battery
Lenovo launches an affordable alternative to the flagship Tab P12 Pro.

While the world was busy witnessing Samsung unveil the much-awaited Galaxy Tab S9 series, Lenovo silently launched a new budget tablet in the market, the Tab P12. The latest offering by Lenovo is aimed at students and carries a “back to school” branding. Lenovo is trying to impress both students and budget buyers with the Tab P12 – an affordable alternative to the premium Tab P12 Pro. Let’s explore the specs and pricing of the tablet.
Lenovo Tab P12 Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo Tab P12, along with the keyboard and Lenovo Tab Pen Plus included, will have a starting price of €499 (approx. $552). Alternatively, the Lenovo Tab P12, bundled only with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, will start at €399 (approx. $441). Both models are expected to be available in select markets from July 2023 onwards.

Specifications
The Lenovo Tab P12 boasts an elegant and sleek design with a metal casing. The tablet sports a 12.7-inch 3K display with a resolution of 2944 x 1840 pixels. The tablet features a fully laminated panel with wide viewing angles, and it offers a reading mode and blue light filter for eye comfort.
Under the hood, the Lenovo Tab P12 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT8791V processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The Lenovo Tab P12 runs on Android 13, with Lenovo’s enhancements and additional features. A 10,200 mAh battery backs the tablet and is touted by Lenovo to offer up to 10 hours of video playback on a single charge. Another key highlight of the P12 tablet is its audio capabilities, featuring a quad JBL speaker system and Dolby Atmos support.

Moreover, the tablet supports the new Lenovo Tab Pen Plus. The stylus, made entirely of plastic, features a USB C port for charging and several useful functionalities. Lenovo preloads several software features for the stylus, including Nebo, MyScript Calculator, and a note-taking app called “Notepad.”
For those seeking a productivity boost, Lenovo offers an optional ThinkPad-inspired keyboard cover for the Tab P12. The keyboard boasts keys with a key travel of 1.5mm, a subtle 0.2mm concavity, and a key pitch of 19mm for seamless typing experience. It also features a touchpad for added convenience during multitasking and navigating.
