Oppo Pad Neo Launched With 90Hz Display, 33W SuperVOOC Charging
The latest budget tablet by Oppo looks like a replica of OnePlus Pad Go.
Today, Oppo unveiled a range of new products in Malaysia, including a smartphone and earbuds. At the same event, the company launched a new tablet called the Oppo Pad Neo. The Oppo Pad Neo is first going to be available in Malaysia, expectedly followed by other regions.
Oppo Pad Neo Specifications and Features
Starting with the display, the Pad Neo boasts an 11.35-inch LCD panel with a 2.4K resolution of 2408 x 1720 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 260ppi pixel density, up to 400 nits of brightness, and an 86.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. The tablet’s dimensions are 255.12 x 188.04 x 6.89mm, with a weight of 538 grams.
Powering the Pad Neo is MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset, accompanied by either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For photography enthusiasts, the Oppo Pad Neo features an 8-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus.
An 8,000mAh battery backs the tablet with 33W SuperVOOC charging support. While the Android version running on the tablet isn’t specified, the official listing mentions that it runs on ColorOS 13.2, likely indicating the presence of Android 13.
Aiming the entertainment seeking users, the Pad Neo also boasts Dolby Atmos-powered quad speakers. Additional features include SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB-C port. In essence, it appears to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad Go tablet, initially launched last year in select markets like India. That does not come as a surprise though because both OnePlus and Oppo belong to the same parent company i.e. BBK Electronics.
Oppo Pad Neo Pricing and Availability
Available in both Wi-Fi only and LTE versions, the Oppo Pad Neo comes exclusively in Space Grey color option. In Malaysia, the tablet will be up for sale in two variants: the 6GB+128GB (Wi-Fi) version is priced at RM 1,199 (approx. $258), and the 8GB+128GB (LTE) version is priced at RM 1,399 (around $301). As a launch offer, customers buying the new tablet will also receive a complimentary Pad Neo Smart Case.
