Is this the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Lite? New Samsung Tablet leaked
While many media outlets speculate it to be the successor to the Tab S6 Lite, we have our fair share of reasons to believe that this could be Tab S9 Lite.

Just when we thought that Samsung has had its fair share of tablet launches recently, a new report from 91Mobiles suggests that there might be one more tablet in the works. After launching the Tab S9 FE series, Tab Active5, and new A-series tablets, Samsung could just surprise us with a new tablet reportedly powered by an Exynos 1280 octa-core chipset. This new tablet has been spotted on Geekbench with details including chipset, model number, and more. Could this be the Tab S9 Lite? Let’s find out.
As per the report by 91Mobiles, this new tablet could be the successor to the much-loved Tab S6 Lite or a new version to the mid-range tablet. The Geekbench listing reveals its model number as SM-P620. Other details include an octa-core Exynos 1280 processor clocked at 2.4GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM and running on the latest Android 14 OS. The Geekbench score of this leaked Samsung tablet is 930 for single-core and 1840 for multi-core.

Going by the leaked model number, leaksters are expecting it to be a part of Samsung S6 Lite series. If this speculation turns out to be true, then we would be getting a Tab S6 Lite successor after the last launched 2022 model. This mid-range lineup hits the sweet spot between flagship and budget Samsung tablets. We reviewed the 2022 model of the Tab S6 Lite and we loved it. Why would Samsung keep feeding an old moniker?
While many media outlets speculate it belonging to the S6 Lite series, we speculate that it could indeed be the new Galaxy Tab S9 Lite. It doesn’t make sense for Samsung to continue launching devices under the S6 Lite series, especially considering that the Tab S9 series has already made its debut in full glory. Moreover, it would appeal more to customers if it carries the S9 moniker, making it feel more in sync with the times.
To recall, the Tab S6 Lite 2022 comes with a 10.4-inch WUXGA TFT display. A Snapdragon 720G chipset powers the tablet with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB internal storage expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. The tablet sports an 8MP camera on the rear and a 5MP selfie camera. A 7,040mAh battery backs the S6 Lite 2022 with USB-C charging. It runs Android 12-based One UI 4 out-of-the-box and has received Android 14 update in November 2023. Other features include 3.5mm headphone jack, S-Pen, Dolby Atmos, and more.
