Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Officially Announced: Everything We Know
Samsung makes the Tab A9 series official by launching in one of its key markets.

We recently reported on how Samsung silently launched its budget tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+, by listing them on Amazon UAE. The tech giant went into complete stealth mode while launching the A9 tablets as it did not even put out a press release outlining the launch. And now in another move, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ on Amazon India amid the ongoing sale festival.
Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ Pricing and Availability
The official Samsung India website currently lacks pricing and availability information for the Galaxy Tab A9 series. However, prospective buyers can find these tablets listed on the popular e-commerce platform, Amazon. According to Amazon listings, the Galaxy Tab A9 is priced at INR 12,999 (approx. $156) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant with Wi-Fi connectivity. Additionally, there is a Wi-Fi + 5G variant available for INR 15,999 (approx. $192).
Moving on to the Galaxy Tab A9+, it is priced at Rs. 20,999 (around $252) for the Wi-Fi-only variant, which comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and 5G connectivity comes for INR 22,999 (around $276). Both tablet models are offered in three attractive color options: Dark Blue, Grey, and Silver.
For those interested in purchasing these Samsung tablets, they are currently available on Amazon as part of the ongoing Great Indian Festival 2023. Additionally, customers can enjoy significant savings by using SBI credit cards, which offer an instant discount of up to Rs. 5,000 on the Galaxy A9 series tablets.

Specifications and Features
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is equipped with a dual SIM configuration (eSIM + physical SIM) and runs on Android 13 with the OneUI 5.1.1 interface. Its display boasts an 11-inch WQXGA LCD screen with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920 pixels and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Powering this tablet is an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC, accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, expandable via the microSD card slot.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Tab A9+ sports an 8-megapixel single rear camera, along with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It offers an immersive audio experience with its quad-speaker setup, delivering surround sound. Connectivity options encompass 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. The tablet is equipped with a 5,100mAh battery and has dimensions of 305x204x37mm, weighing in at 510 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 shares similar SIM and software specifications with the Galaxy Tab A9+. It comes with an 8.7-inch LCD WQXGA display featuring a resolution of 800×1,340 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, complemented by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
On the camera front, the Tab A9 features an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel front camera, complete with a front flash. It delivers sound through dual speakers by AKG with Dolby Atmos support. Like its sibling, it packs a 5,100mAh battery. In terms of dimensions, it measures 219x29x131.6mm and weighs 366 grams.
