Samsung Unveils Galaxy Tab A9 & A9+ Kids Edition, Starts at $212
Just around the holiday season, Samsung has introduced two new tablets for Kids and under affordable price tag.

Samsung has just introduced two new tablets in Indonesia, the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition and Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition. These tablets are designed to offer kids a safe and entertaining ecosystem to learn and have fun. These tablets boast parental controls and features to regulate children’s screen time.
The Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition and Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition comes bundled with kids-safe software and anti-impact cases. Launched in Indonesia for now, the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition costs IDR 3,299,000 ($212), and the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition (5G) is priced at IDR 4,999,000 ($321). For buyers in Indonesia, who pre-order the tablets between December 12 and December 17 will get a bundle including a Puffy Cover, Crayon Stylus, Kids Stickers, a 20W charger, and a one-year Samsung Care+ plan for premium device protection.

Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition Features & Specs
Coming to the specs and features, the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition comes with a bright screen and touts strong performance. It has an 8.7-inch screen with clear HD+ resolution and a smooth 60Hz refresh rate. You can choose between 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage (it also supports microSD card storage expansion of up to 1TB). The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The Tab A9 Kids Edition features a 2MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera.

On the software side of things, the tablet runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 out-of-the-box. Kids being its target audience, Samsung has bundled this tablet with a special case for protection. It also features Samsung Kids mode that comes loaded with fun and educational content, while parents can control apps and set screen time. It also has stereo speakers, and a 5,100mAh battery with 15W charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and USB 2.0 Type-C port.
Now, let’s look at the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition. It boasts a bigger 11-inch screen with clear Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is available in 4GB/64GB storage or 8GB of RAM/128GB storage variants. The tablet also supports up to 1TB storage expansion via microSD card slot. A Snapdragon 695 processor powers the device with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software. It also includes all the kids oriented features as the Tab A9 Kids edition. You get a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera on this one along with a bigger 7,040mAh battery with 15W charging. Connectivity features also remain the same as thet Tab A9.
