Xiaomi Pad 6 Max Launched with 14-inch 120Hz Display, SD 8+ Gen 1 Chipset
After a slew of rumors, the Pad 6 Max is finally here with a 2.8K display, 10,000mAh battery, and more.
Today, Xiaomi hosted a large event in China. The tech giant unveiled several new products including the much anticipated Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, which joins the already released standard and pro models in the Pad 6 lineup. This latest offering appears to be the highest-end variant in the Pad 6 lineup that was launched in China back in June. Keep reading to learn more about what features it has to offer.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max has a sleek and premium design, similar to its siblings, with a metal unibody and square camera module on the rear. However, it stands out with its 14-inch LCD screen which is 62 percent larger than the Pad 6 Pro. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate and 2.8K pixel resolution, ensuring a high-quality visual experience.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It has up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device also features a heat dissipation system that covers an area of 15839mm, allowing for extended usage periods. The tablet draws its power from a 10,000mAh battery unit that supports 67W fast charging and 33W reverse charging. Furthermore, it comes with a Surge G1 protection chip that improves battery life, longevity, and safety.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max boasts a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens. On the front, the tablet has a 20MP primary camera that is paired with a 3D ToF sensor for advanced facial unlock. Additionally, there is a permission indicator light that flashes red whenever an app tries to access sensitive data such as the camera, which helps the user decide whether to grant permission or not.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 offers a fantastic value. Even though it's quite affordable, it offers tons of flagship features like a metal body, a pretty 144Hz display, powerful hardware, and up-to-date software. You can get it with a keyboard and pen - however, some features like a fingerprint scanner are missing.
Moreover, the tablet features eight speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, providing an immersive audio experience. Overall, the Pad 6 Max seems to offer an exceptional entertainment experience with its upgraded display and audio features.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max runs Android 13-based MIUI Pad 14 out-of-the-box. It offers a split-screen mode that enables the use of four apps at once, as well as pre-installed WPS Office and other useful features. The tablet can be paired with a detachable keyboard that includes a trackpad. Additionally, it includes a Stylus with a focus button feature that transforms it into a virtual laser pointer.
