Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro Launched with 144Hz 6K Display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
Much-awaited Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro goes official with flagship-level specs. Will it challenge the Tab S9 Series by Samsung?

Xiaomi has launched a new tablet in China – the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4. This latest addition to the company’s tablet lineup comes with a 12.4-inch 3K (3048 x 2032) 16:10 LCD display that boasts a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is designed with an all-metal unibody construction that adds to its sleek and premium look.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It also features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary and 2MP secondary camera. Additionally, the device comes with quad speakers, and Dolby Atmos, and is equipped with a 10000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and Pogo-pin 22.5W Charging.
On the software side of things, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro runs Android 13 with MIUI 14 out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C USB3.2 Gen1. The tablet measures 278.70×191.58×6.26mm and weighs 590g.

Xiaomi has also launched a keyboard with it, which has a unique 6-layer button arrangement alongside additional shortcut keys for easy access to different functions. It also has a feature that allows for one-click adjustment of brightness, audio control, and NFC-based data transfer. Additionally, the brand has also unveiled the Xiaomi Focus Stylus, which can serve as a virtual laser pointer to enhance presentations during conferences.
Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro Pricing and availability
The Pad 6S Pro is available in three different colors: Black, Blue, and Green. It offers four storage options, including 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The prices start from 3299 yuan (approximately $458) for the 8GB + 256GB model and go up to 4499 yuan (approximately $625) for the top-end 16GB+1TB model.
Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro’s global official site only lists a maximum of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. However, if you get the China-only version of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, you can get 16GB and 1TB of storage. Xiaomi often releases a Chinese version and a global one that sometimes are a bit different. That Chinese version does not come with the Google Play Store, might not be able to play Netflix in HD quality, and often the only languages you can choose between are English and Chinese.
Specs-wise, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro seems to be an upgrade Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. We are hoping to see it launch globally soon. What’s your take on this new tablet by Xiaomi? Do you think it will make a bigger impact than the Pad 6? Let us know in the comments below!
