Amazon Launches Fire HD 10 Kids & Kids Pro Tablets
New range of Fire HD 10 Kids tablets are here.
Amazon has unveiled upgraded versions of the Fire HD 10 Kids and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro tablets. Both tablets boast a 10.1-inch, 1080p display, while flaunting a sleeker design and touted to deliver a “25% faster” performance. Starting at just $189, the price includes 12 months of Amazon Kids+ and pre-orders are now open.
Amazon has always been a popular choice for those seeking an affordable tablet to keep their little ones entertained. And it seems that the latest generation Fire HD 10 Kids and Kids Pro, set to be released in October, will continue to uphold that reputation. Not only that, but Amazon also unveiled a range of new products and Alexa enhancements during their recent event. They briefly introduced two new tablets designed specifically for kids – the Fire HD 10 Kids and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro – as well as some exciting additions to the Amazon Kids+ service, including more Play Together games and the Music Maker feature.
The all-new Fire HD 10 Kids is specifically designed for children aged 3 to 7 years. As the name suggests, it boasts a 10.1-inch FHD (1080p) display. Moreover, it is touted by Amazon to be 25 percent lighter and faster than the previous generation.
The Fire HD 10 Kids is equipped with 3GB of RAM, 5-megapixel cameras, and a battery life of up to 13 hours. The package includes a 12-month subscription to Amazon Kids+, along with kid-friendly cases featuring Mickey Mouse or Disney Princess designs, Disney-themed digital wallpapers, and access to Disney content through the Amazon Kids profile. The Fire HD 10 Kids is now available for pre-order at a starting price of $190 and is scheduled to ship next month.
The Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is designed specifically for kids aged 6 to 12. This tablet boasts identical specs and features as the regular version, so there are no hardware distinctions. It comes equipped with faster octa-core CPUs and guarantees improved battery life, all in a thinner and lighter form compared to previous models.
Alongside two new tablets designed for kids, Amazon has introduced Music Maker – an exclusive experience coming to Amazon Kids+ service on the Fire Kids tablets. This innovative feature enables children to create unique compositions and melodies by selecting different instruments and sound effects, with the assistance of AI.
Following the success of Sketch-N-Guess, Amazon has taken the leap to introduce an additional ten Play Together games. These exciting additions will be accessible on the Fire Kids tablet through the Amazon Kids+ subscription service.
