Redmi Pad Receives MIUI 14 Update with Advanced Features & More!
The huge MIUI 14 update weighs 3.9GB in size and brings enhanced features like Photon Engine and more onboard.
Xiaomi’s latest OS, MIUI 14, is now available for Redmi Pad users! Xiaomi assures that the new software will provide a much smoother user experience than its predecessor due to its innovative photon engine. It has been in development for about one year and promises to make apps run up to 88% faster. On top of this major performance upgrade, it also minimizes system occupation while providing better uninstallation options so you won’t be stuck with unnecessary clutter taking up space on your device anymore.
Huge MIUI 14 Update for Redmi Pad
The Chinese tech giant has just released its newest and most advanced version of MIUI 14 for the Redmi Pad, tagged with the version number 14.0.5.0.TLYCNXM requires an expansive 3.9GB update package for installation. This version is particularly crucial as it brings about a grand upgrade to the Android 13 operating system along with Google’s latest security patch (2023#01) for improved defense against malicious threats on your device.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad is a great mid-range tablet. Even though it's very affordable, it offers a premium metal body, the 10-inch screen supports 90Hz, and the performance is great for most games. In addition to that, we get four good speakers, up-to-date software with updates, and a long battery life. Sadly, you cannot open two apps side by side with the 3GB RAM version. That's a pitty.
MIUI 14’s photon engine is a powerful and productive update consisting of three main architectures: intelligent scene recognition, dynamic resource scheduling, and an advanced computing engine. This trio works together to enhance third-party application performance while protecting power consumption at the same time.
MIUI 14 is packed with new features, such as the photon engine, enhanced privacy protection, and family services. Xiaomi Mi Miaoxiang Center has been completely revamped to provide increased connectivity between devices. Now you can seamlessly transfer files between your phones and even connect a headset or keyboard/mouse combination for an improved collaboration experience on laptops and tablets.
Redmi Pad: MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, Up to 6GB of RAM & 128GB Storage
The Redmi Pad has a 10.61-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 70% NTSC color gamut, 400 nits brightness, and TUV Rheinland low blue light certification for an incredibly immersive viewing experience. Furthermore, this powerhouse of a tablet boasts an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G99 6nm processor to ensure optimal performance along with 3GB / 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4X RAM options paired with 64 GB/128 GB UFS 2.1 storage that can be expanded further via microSD card slot if needed.
The Redmi Pad launched with its Android 12 OS, combined with the MIUI 13 for Pad. Unfortunately, our review of this device left us feeling lukewarm about its MIUI 13 experience; you can read all about it in our detailed review of the Redmi Pad.
Redmi Pad is slim, lightweight at only 465g (250.5×158.1×7.1mm) and perfect for entertainment or communication purposes; featuring an 8MP rear camera with Full HD video recording capabilities, 105° FOV front-facing camera along with USB Type C audio technology, Dolby Atmos sound system plus quad speakers and dual microphones – delivering high-quality audio output!
Redmi Pad offers enhanced wireless connectivity with Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C options to connect you quickly and easily to multiple devices while on the go. Its generous 8,000mAh battery packs plenty of power for your day’s activities; plus it supports 18W charging so you don’t have to worry about running out of juice while on the move.

I’ve brought Redmi Pad (4gb variant) just like 3 days ago, still there is no update available for MIUI 14, I only got two security updates upto 1/1/2023 only.
I’m new to Xiaomi, so I don’t know when miui14 be available.
And yes, there must be a flashlight

Looks like the update has not started rolling out in your region yet. You may have to wait a couple of weeks.
