These Samsung Tablets Will Be Updated To Android 10
Are you waiting for Android 10 to hit your Samsung tablet? This is precisely when your Galaxy slate will get the latest Android update this year.

Over the past few months, Samsung has been proactively pushing Android 10 updates, topped with its own flavor of One UI, to its high-end smartphones, but it hasn’t forgotten its tablet lineup. The South Korean company is among the handful of mainstream brands that continues to make Android tablets and that too across the entire price spectrum. Through its rollout schedule, the brand announced the timeline by when you can expect your Samsung tablet to get the latest flavor of the Android OS, or if your fairly old model has been excluded this year.
Most of the tablets released in the last year or two will surely receive the Android 10 update, though the rollout will naturally begin from the top-end models. Samsung’s current flagship in the tablet vertical—the Galaxy Tab S6—will be updated around April this year. Its predecessor—the Tab S4—and the premium mid-ranger Tab S5e will follow suit in July. The company will push Android 10 to the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) in August, followed by the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, Tab Active Pro, and the popular Tab A 10.1 (2019) in September. We’re tabling the rollout schedule below to make it easy to parse.
Read: Comparison: Apple iPad vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019
- April 2020 — Galaxy Tab S6
- July 2020 — Galaxy Tab S5e, Galaxy Tab S4
- August 2020 — Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)
- September 2020 — Galaxy Tab Active Pro, Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), Galaxy Tab A 10.5
Samsung’s German arm announced the roadmap, so it’s safe to assume that a similar timeline will also apply to other prominent markets, including the US and those within Europe. The situation would’ve been different if the details had come from Samsung’s home market, which usually gets its separate plan that doesn’t align with the rest of the world.
