Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro

Xiaomi seems to be gearing up for yet another mid-range tablet launch. The Chinese manufacturer launched the Pad 6 series of tablets last year and is now in the works to bring out yet another tablet called Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro that seems to be a part of the Pad 6 lineup.

As per the latest reports, the first images and specifications of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro are out and about. Going by the leaked specs, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro seems to be a high-end tablet aimed at rivalling some of the other flagships like the Tab S9 on the market. The tablet features a metal frame and dual rear cameras with a 50MP primary sensor. Xiaomi hints at substantial improvements with the Pad 6S Pro. Well, going by the initial impressions of leaked specs, we sure are looking forward to seeing this tablet in its full glory.

It’s worth noting that this tablet was earlier rumoured to be the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro but now it is being speculated that it is the Pad 6S Pro. As we pointed out earlier, this tablet is very well a part of the Pad 6 lineup and is expected to debut soon alongside the Xiaomi 14 smartphone. The rumour mill suggests that we might get the tablet at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona.

Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro: Big Screen, Powerful Specs

The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro reportedly sports a 12.4-inch 2.5K screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the tablet has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the same as Samsung’s flagship Tab S9 series. It is expected to feature a whopping 24GB of RAM which is the highest ever we saw on a tablet or even a smartphone (too ambitious to be true?). It is expected to have 1TB of internal storage and a 10,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

Update: Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro’s global official site only lists a maximum of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. However, if you get the China-only version of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, you can get 16GB and 1TB of storage. Xiaomi often releases a Chinese version and a global one that sometimes are a bit different. That Chinese version does not come with the Google Play Store, might not be able to play Netflix in HD quality, and often the only languages you can choose between are English and Chinese.

Well, going by the leaked specs, the new tablet seems impressive with a big, beautiful screen, and a super-fast processor with high RAM and storage. At this point, it does seem to be a more powerful option than the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Since none of the information comes with a confirmation of the official sources, we might just take it with a pinch of salt and wait for the launch.
