Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Wi-Fi Only Variant Appears on TDRA
A WiFi-only variant for the upcoming Tab A9 seems to be in works.
Samsung is set to release the highly anticipated Galaxy Tab A9 series, with leaks hinting toward an imminent launch. The tablets have already made appearances on FCC, Bluetooth SIG, Safety Korea, and BIS India. Notably, the Galaxy Tab A9, also known as SM-X110 (WiFi Only), was spotted on TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) in UAE. The listing provides scant information regarding the device’s specifications, yet it does confirm the imminent launch and the availability of a WiFi-only variant.
Additionally, last week saw the introduction of the Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G variant on TDRA, along with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series models. According to recent reports, the Tab A9+ has obtained certification from Bluetooth SIG and BIS. Moreover, the tablet has been spotted on Geekbench, confirming specific hardware specifications. In the past, the UAE has granted TDRA certification to Galaxy Tab A9+ as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is a cheap entry-level tablet that should get long software updates. It offers a good performance for its price, a metal body, and four good speakers. Sadly, the battery life is not the best and it does not support an active pen.
Based on the Bluetooth SIG listing, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is identified by the model number SM-X216B and supports Bluetooth v5.1. Moreover, the tablet has obtained BIS certification, suggesting a potential launch in India. The Geekbench listing reveals that the Tab A9+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 619 GPU. It will offer up to 4GB of RAM and run on Android 13 with the One UI 5.1 interface.
As for the Galaxy Tab A9, the device recently made appearances on Geekbench and other leaks, revealing intriguing details. According to these leaks, the Galaxy Tab A9 will boast a Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with an Adreno 619 GPU. Additionally, it will come equipped with 4GB of RAM and run on Android 13 with OneUI 5.1 as its interface. Expectations are that it will feature a 5000 mAh battery with 15W charging support. As for its dimensions, the tablet measures 210.7mm in length and 124.7mm in width.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Tab A9 will include support for a 3.5mm audio jack, LTE/WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. It will serve as the successor to the Galaxy Tab A8, which was launched in December 2021. As the days go by, we anticipate further leaks that will provide us with additional information on both tablets.
