Samsung Unveils Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ With Exynos 1380 SoC

Samsung has consistently been a leader in the Android smartphone and tablet markets year after year. However, if you’re on a budget, you may want to consider their FE line, which provides high-quality products at a more affordable cost. Following a string of rumors and leaks, Samsung finally unveiled its latest Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ tablets today.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ have similar appearances but differ in their internal specifications. The Tab S9 FE features a 10.9-inch display, while the Tab S9 FE+ has a larger 12.4-inch screen. Additionally, both displays boast adaptive refresh rates with a maximum of 90Hz.

The tablets come equipped with Vision Booster, which optimizes color and contrast to enhance visibility in outdoor environments, especially in dark areas of the screen. Like the latest Galaxy Tab S9 series, both the Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ have earned an IP68 rating, providing increased durability for worry-free use on the go. Additionally, the Tab S9 FE+ boasts a long-lasting battery that is touted by the company to deliver up to 20 hours of video playback on a single charge.

Samsung’s tablets are equipped with their own Exynos 1380 SoC and come in various RAM and storage options. The Tab S9 FE offers 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM / 256GB storage, while the Tab S9 FE+ provides 8GB RAM / 128GB storage and 12GB RAM / 256GB storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is currently the best mid-range tablet with a pen. We get a pretty good overall package here with a high-resolution 10.9-inch 90Hz IPS display, a great design, latest software with long updates, and the S Pen, which is included. The S9 FE has many premium features such as a fingerprint reader, good speakers, and a water and dust-resistant body. It would be even better if the processor was more powerful. So, it's not a perfect gaming tablet.

When you purchase the Tab S9 FE, you will receive an 8MP rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the other hand, the Tab S9 FE+ offers a dual 8MP camera on the rear and a 12MP ultrawide camera on the front. The Tab S9 FE has an 8,000mAh battery capacity, while the Tab S9 FE+ has a larger capacity of 10,090mAh. While both models offer fast charging capabilities, you will need to purchase a 45W charger separately. Both tablets run Android 13 out-of-the-box and support connectivity features including 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v 5.3, and more.

Both the Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ come with a regular S-Pen included in the box, but not the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) S Pen as specified on the specs sheet.

The latest Tab S9 FE tablets are also equipped with a Multi Control feature that allows users to easily move content between multiple Galaxy devices. It is possible to copy and paste or drag and drop content between Samsung smartphones and tablets. Thanks to this feature, users can easily transfer videos or images from their smartphones to their tablets using Quick Share, making editing much easier.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series is available in four colors – Mint, Silver, Gray, and Lavender – and starts at $449. Samsung has announced new tablets will be released gradually. The Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ will be available in stores on October 10th.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series is made of recycled materials, with some internal and external components using pre-consumer recycled aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastics. The Tab S9 FE series supports accessories including S Pen, S Pen Creator Edition Book Cover Keyboard, Book Cover Keyboard Slim, Smart Book Cover, Outdoor Cover.
